Stakeholders, including members of the business community and persons with disabilities, converged at Cooksey Hall in Chinhoyi for the Fourth Quarter 2025 Budget Performance Review meeting.

During the engagement, stakeholders raised concerns regarding an increase in shop license fees, citing previously agreed terms to reduce them. Council clarified that the meeting was intended to review 2025 budget performance and not the implementation of the 2026 budget, which was only recently approved. As such, matters relating to the 2026 budget will be addressed during its implementation phase.

The issue of adequate water supply was also raised. Council informed stakeholders that it is currently engaging with the parent ministry to develop a sustainable and long-term solution. These efforts include plans to expand existing water treatment plants to improve the water supply across the town.

Council reaffirmed its commitment to transparent governance, stakeholder participation, and continuous engagement as it works towards improving service delivery for all resident
