Municipal workers from the Municipality of Chinhoyi participated in the First Lady's Zero Waste Movement Monthly Clean-Up Campaign on Friday, 17 July 2026, demonstrating the local authority's continued commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy urban environment.
The exercise saw municipal employees cleaning various sections of the Chinhoyi Central Business District (CBD), removing litter and ensuring that public spaces remained clean and welcoming. The monthly clean-up campaign forms part of the national First Lady's Zero Waste Movement, which promotes environmental sustainability and responsible waste management across the country.
The Municipality of Chinhoyi continues to play its part in supporting national environmental initiatives through regular clean-up activities and by encouraging proper waste disposal practices. Maintaining a clean town contributes to improved public health, enhances the town's image and creates a more pleasant environment for residents, businesses and visitors.
The Municipality encourages all residents and businesses to complement these efforts by disposing of waste responsibly and keeping their surroundings clean every day, as environmental cleanliness remains a shared responsibility.
Together, we can build a cleaner, greener Chinhoyi.
